International On & Offline Marketing Manager

Founded in 2006, ‘One Foot Abroad Ltd.,’ (OFA) is a leading Irish travel operator focusing exclusively on international walking holidays. OFA encompasses nine countries at present. In order to drive the next development phase of the company, One Foot Abroad is looking for a positive, analytical and creative individual who can deliver ‘on-budget’ outstanding market development results.

Role description:

With the focus on the overall group’s objective, ‘achieve strong international business growth’ the chosen candidate should be capable of:


  1. Managing the marketing team; currently Graphic Designer/Web Developer, Communication Manager and trainee(s). [Service providers as required.]
  2. Developing Marketing Strategies that embrace each of the company’s brands.
  3. Managing and implement all marketing campaigns within an agreed budget, realised in collaboration with the CEO and the Operations Manager.
  4. Overseeing the content strategy of the Group’s websites, blogs and social media channels to ensure optimum online ranking and visibility within the company’s target market.
  5. With your marketing team, significantly grow the overall traffic to the company’s websites and the number of quality sales enquiries.
  6. Plan, implement and manage paid search and display campaigns on Google, Bing and other Social Media platforms.
  7. Ensuring the company’s databases are maintained, continually updated and improved e.g. Zoho CRM suite.
  8. Keeping abreast with relevant industry practices, news and algorithm updates etc. and educate colleagues on these.
  9. Producing regular KPI reports along with ongoing competitive analysis.
  10. Assuming responsibility for ‘New Market Development,’ associated market research and supporting business case.


Required Skills, Knowledge  & Experience:

It is envisaged that the selected candidate will hold a primary degree in Marketing or related discipline, coupled with at least four years marketing experience.


  1. Analytical mind-set with experience of web metrics and marketing analytic tools. (Email metrics, Google analytics and other emerging tools such as Hubspot etc.)
  2. Extensive experience with marketing automation (email, lead generation campaigns) and the ability to write clickable copy.
  3. Proven capability using data to support business and optimisation decisions.
  4. Experience in managing budgets and understanding the value of always focusing on ROI.
  5. Self-motivated with a proven track record of taking ownership of one’s agreed responsibilities and objectives.
  6. Excellent organisational skills with an eye for detail.

Travel Sales Consultants Team Leader (OTE €42K)


We are looking for a and adventurous personable individual with character, skills and stamina willing to work for an Irish SME to join our team and strengthen the sales and operations of One Foot Abroad.

The Role
To support the growth of the sales team we are looking at hiring a Sales Team Leader to support the Sales Manager in the day to day management of the work for the team members as well as selling. Typical responsibilities

· Team leading (30%)

o   Leads dispatching

o   Weekly and monthly reporting

o   Ensure processes are followed and suggest improvements

o   Act as a first level escalation for sales consultants and customers

o   Help on staff training

o   Keep customer services tools and templates updated


· Sales Consultancy (70%)

o   Handle all customer queries by email and by phone

o   Deal with direct customers as well as Reseller and Travel Agents

o   Send personalised quotes to consumers

o   Update and maintain customer databases

o   Handle credit card and cheque payment

o   Liaise with our Holiday Success Team

o   Give feedback to our product team

o   Work on temporary Telemarketing campaign

o   Ensure customer satisfaction

o   Share acquired knowledge with the team

Requirements of the role

o   Native/Fluent English (another language is an advantage)

o   2 years Team leader experience

o   Excellent sales skills

o   Excellent sales track record

o   Excellent attention to details

o   Excellent telephone manner

o   Great interpersonal skills

o   Ability to work on own initiatives

o   Can do attitude

o   Highly organised with the ability to prioritise

o   Excellent problem solving skills

o   Good computer skills (MS package in particular Excel)

o   Business Degree, Masters or equivalent


The Person
o   Knowledge and understanding of walking holidays and the Camino de Santiago in particular or outstanding ability to sell other travel products

o   Knowledge of the Tour Operator and travel agency industry is an advantage
