Educamino School Tours
In 2013, we launched the first ever EduCamino, specially designed for schools and students walking along the last 100km of the Camino de Santiago, reaching Santiago cathedral and the tomb of the Apostle St James. Why? Because it is where St James is supposed to be buried and it is the second most important pilgrimage! Some questions to ask your students...
Gaisce or The President's Award is an award in Ireland, earned by young people between the ages of 15 and 25. In order to get the award they must undertake a number of set activities and personal challenges. One of the official challenges now recognised as contributing to your Gaisce award is a tour on the Camino de Santiago booked with us.

Sense of Achievement and inner journey!
As an educational tool EduCamino is healthy, fun and a great adventure where your students can learn about history, religion, language and culture, while experiencing some of the most beautiful natural landscapes in Europe. Students and teachers will have a real opportunity to soak up the culture of this region by tasting freshly prepared, natural local food.
A unique aspect of this school trip is that you will be walking along an historical trail, in the footsteps of millions of pilgrims who have done this walk for centuries. Knowing you are walking a path forged over time helps to transform this trip into an amazing inner and spiritual journey.
Equally important is the sense of achievement as you reach your goal and arrive at your destination after days of walking. This is a great boost of confidence for students, particularly at a time in their life when students may need it most!
