    What is EduCamino?

Read the teacher report on the Educamino French Way

In 2013, we launched the first ever EduCamino, specially designed for schools and students walking along the last 100km of the Camino de Santiago, reaching Santiago cathedral and the tomb of the Apostle St James.  Why? Because it is where St James is supposed to be buried and it is the second most important pilgrimage! Some questions to ask your students...

Quality Time & Peace of Mind!

Walking the Camino de Santiago is a wonderful experience for any one of any age.  Our EduCamino is even more enjoyable for both students and teachers as you just need to walk it with your students whilst we take care of the rest!

Sense of Achievement and inner journey!

As an educational tool EduCamino is healthy, fun and a great adventure where your students can learn about history, religion, language and culture, while experiencing some of the most beautiful natural landscapes in Europe.  Students and teachers will have a real opportunity to soak up the culture of this region by tasting freshly prepared, natural local food.

A unique aspect of this school trip is that you will be walking along an historical trail, in the footsteps of millions of pilgrims who have done this walk for centuries.  Knowing you are walking a path forged over time helps to transform this trip into an amazing inner and spiritual journey.

Equally important is the sense of achievement as you reach your goal and arrive at your destination after days of walking.  This is a great boost of confidence for students, particularly at a time in their life when students may need it most!

    Camino Tours Testimonials

Our large group of transition year students - 48 boys & 6 parents - from Gonzaga College in Ranelagh walked the last section of the French Way to Santiago over 6 days, with accommodation & meals and airport/luggage transfers organised for us by Follow the Camino. It surpassed all our expectations (as did the fabulous weather we had). None of us had walked any of the Camino previously, and that was good as we were all discovering it for the first time. See full Teacher's Report now

Just returned from an amazing 5 days on the Camino! It was a complete unknown, and even more risky taking 19 students with me but Follow the Camino did a fantastic job!!! Thank you so much everyone who helped to make our trip so special. Everything went like clockwork. Connections were there on time and smiling faces and helpfulness were always evident. Thank you all from all of us!!
