Camino Training - July Dock to Shore route posted: 2016-08-03 08:54:00
Our monthly Camino training event was a huge success this July. It was great catching up with the regulars and wonderful to meet new friends. We want to take this opportunity to say a huge welcome to all our new Camino trainers.
This walking event will take place monthly so make sure to keep your eyes on our website for Camino training day details. Everyone is welcome, we're a lovely supportive bunch so it certainly won't feel like you're walking the distance you actually are and we promise once we reach the end you'll feel so proud of your achievement and have met some lovely, like-minded people. Most of us couldn’t believe we’d actually walked so far on the day and were really chuffed to arrive at our destination with legs and limbs still working and some of us even had enough energy left over to enjoy a social and refreshing gin and tonic!
This month's route was from Grand Canal Dock to Bray just slightly under 25 kilometers (which is a typical walking day on the Camino) and we we're spoiled rotten once we got to Bray with the air show on and great carnival atmosphere. Weather was on our side too as we had sunshine all day yet thankfully it wasn't too hot.
We’re always happy to have new Camino training members come along so by all means, next time bring a friend or if you come alone we're sure you'll have a new friend by the time your walk is done.
Well done everyone from all the team here.Previous Blog:
