One Word Camino posted: 2015-09-28 06:00:00
I thought that if I asked four or five people every day for one word to express some essence of their experience about the Camino that as I moved across the country the stages of the journey would also be somewhat reflected in the words. I wanted to do something interactive with the instant community that would not pull me far away from my own pilgrimage experience. Instead, the project deepened my experience! Everything was done on my iPhone including the sounds I recorded on voice memo. I uploaded all those radiant faces onto my laptop and put it together there. The Camino so profoundly affects everyone and I wanted to capture the humanity and the beauty of it all without taking too much time from anyone. These videos are about 4 to 5 seconds each.
Since originally uploading the video to YouTube in August and I have been getting great feedback from Bulgaria, South Africa and all over the world. Please feel free to share it with anyone you want. I am an artist and taught art for years and have just retired and I am delighted to be back to doing some new creative work. Enjoy it- please let me know if you are in it! And Thank you, Anne Faught
