Very quickly in your trip, you will find that walking is an amazing way, if not the best way to discover an area, its flowers and fauna, with all your senses awakened to the fresh air. It is definitely regenerating and there’s a huge feel-good element in it. You’ll feel healthier from the 1st day!!!

After your day’s walk, what a better to arrive in a welcoming and warm hotel? We select hotels and accommodation based on their comfort, facilities and character. Usually, late afternoon is about the time of the day you’ll arrive at your hotel giving you plenty of time for a rest, a regenerating shower, a visit of the local village… Some like to practice their card skills with a drink or join in the local entertainment. All kinds of things that have the perfume of holidays about them.

All these various activities can be done before going for a traditional meal, which is prepared with regional and fresh products for a truly culinary delight. We always privileges hotels with their own restaurant and chef, and awarded by a quality label and/or recommended by recognised guidebooks. More importantly, we’have tried them for you!!! And we look forward to coming back.

Obviously, hotels and restaurants are dependent on local infrastructures and the above applies to the vast majority of our holidays, to the point that we sometimes arrange the route, so it passes by a hotel that we particularly like. However, it could happen that on a particular trip or specific stage, the accommodation, while clean will be more basic. This will be specified in your detailed dossier beforehand.

Every day, we take care of your luggage. It will be waiting for you at the next hotel, after you have spent your day wandering with only a light day pack of about 4 kg. We believe that walking with a light pack provides you with a level of comfort that ensures you enjoy your walk. You’ll benefit from the day, enjoying the views, and pause easily to contemplate the flowers or the animals. Also, this makes walking holidays possible for people who can’t or don’t want to carry…

If you take the picnic option, in your day pack, you will have the picnic lunch that will have been given to you by your last hotel. You can stop at your own leisure to eat a well deserved and substantial meal… And we do mean substantial. You then continue at your own pace, indulging in a siesta or going for a swim in the lake, before arriving to your next hotel.

Before your departure on, you will receive a holiday pack containing all the information about your holiday, including walking notes and detailed maps.

These walking notes are extremely detailed, describing the route on a “step-by-step” basis.

Our notes are checked regularly and updated accordingly. In addition, we welcome all customer feedback on our walking notes.

Maps are the best available on the market in terms of design and visual bearings.

Last but not least, the vast majority of the selected routes follow well marked paths. An explanation of the various marks is provided with the walking notes.

Typically customisation includes, but is not limited to:

Extra day at the beginning, during or at the end of the walk. This can be appreciated to add a day rest in your holiday or to take advantage of a cultural town that you wish to explore in greater detail.

Add an activity to your walking holiday. For example, go for a dose of adrenaline with one of our white water excursion during you walk: Rafting, Kayaking, Hydro speed, etc… This is fun and relaxing and gives you peps to walk even further.

Comfort Plus: When this is available, you have the possibility to upgrade your already comfortable accommodation into a luxury accommodation with swimming pool, sauna, Jacuzzi, etc… Typically, upgrades are from a 2* standard to a 4* standard.

Donkey: In some of our trips, walking with a donkey is an easy and funny way that makes kids embrace the adventure, having found a new friend to play with, to feed and to care. It is also a traditional way of traveling.
