Thanks to all in the Follow the Camino Office for their support during my organisation of Stage 8 of the Camino for a party of 16. All went superbly well, airport transfers, hotels, food and luggage transfers. All information suppled eased the journey. Well done to all for a wonderful experience. I think all 8 of us were really pleased with the accommodation and the food. Our first evening meal (2nd day) and breakfast were fantastic, all home made and lots of it! It was a high marker for the rest but nobody disappointed. A beautiful section to walk, with sea, mountains, woodlands and a very tranquil time to go. It was great not to have to carry luggage.

We are in our 60s and there were some challenges, but nothing really too difficult. wonderful experience! Very scenic and beauriful section of the camino with good signage. A memorable cross section of Basque culture with good accomodation, great food and wine, and wonderful people. One foot abroad was also extremely helpful. We had to call them once when we lost our voucher and forgot the name of the hotel in Getaria. Mucho bueno vistas, lovely beaches and mountains...charming small towns, chruches and cafes...me gusto mucho. thanks again and buen camino!

loved it--took the Easy day trip from sarria as i have a bad back--had to stop every 300 meters and rest and do yoga stretches, but made it--was really nice to have it be organized so well and run like clockwork--i couldn't have walked around hoping to find shelter each night--even though they call it easy, it is not without its challenges, but of course that brings the rewards.we are all fit and over 60, but very happy not to be walking 28-30 km/day--could relax almost every afternoon. wonderful

Everything ran very smoothly - even the baggage transfers which I have to admit we were a little dubious about at the start! I was very impressed by your help and professionalism from the moment I enquired about the trip. Working out the details was made very easy and the information received beforehand was very helpful. Everything went very smoothly on the trip The accommodation was a very good choice. I especially loved the hotel in Portomarin. The baggage transfer was a godsend and went very smoothly. The staff in all the hotels were very pleasant and I even saw a photograph of our President on the restaurant wall in Hotel De Teodora. The walks were beautiful and the opportunity to meet up at the various cafes on the route was great. We met such lovely interesting people on the route and hope to meet with them again.

Four of us did the final section of the french way to Santiago and we had a ball!! We made so many friends along the way and it was so interesting to hear other people's reasons for doing the walk and to hear how they were finding it. When we reached Santiago, we hugged each other and cheered!! It felt like a great achievement to us and we were all on such a high! We had never done a walking holiday before and we all loved it - we'll definitely be doing more sections of this walk as it's so well organised. Thanks for everything!

We are now back home in the U.S. from Spain, and want to tell you how very very much we enjoyed walking the Camino de Santiago de Compostela, starting in Sarria.  Your logistical support was outstanding.  The preparatory material was very helpful, the luggage transfer flawless (please thank Benjamin for us), and the hotels/board mostly excellent. We were surprised at how nice the hotels were - they were almost all much better than we expected - nice comfortable rooms, lovely surroundings, great food.

Altogether it was a wonderful, memorable experience.  Thank you for helping make it so great. We look forward to recommending "Follow the Camino" to our friends.

Having now completed our Camino pilgramage I would have no hesitation in saying it was one of the most enjoyable trips I have experienced. Our group of four contributed immensely to the experience but the oil which allowed the whole adventure to run so smoothly was provided by Follow the Camino. One Foot Abroad was an important factor in making my experience on the Camino and first walking holiday an unforgettable journey. I was traveling alone on a self guided tour, but felt I had the team's support through out. They were always available to answer the few questions I had and that was reassuring. My driver from the airport in Sarria, Benjamin, was an expert guide I should say and he too was of such great help in preparing me for what was to come. Most of the hotel/sleeping accommodations surpassed my expectations, each with their own charms and particularities. Everything I must say was well organized and I had no issues with my luggage along the way( that wasvery important for me). Our Camino experience went beyond my expectations. The hiking was more challenging than I had imagined. But this made the holiday more rewarding for me because it tested my physical abilities. Walking also let me experience every sight and sound of the land and its people. I fell in love with the Basque country and its people. A wonderful walking holiday with spectacular cliffside trails, lemon trees, olive groves, goat farmers, monasteries and stunning views of the coastline. We walked in the low season (early March) which meant a lot of businesses on the Amalfi Coast were closed, but meant the local people were extremely helpful and friendly as there were so few tourists around. A beautiful part of the world with fantastic food to eat at the end of a steep day of walking!
