Follow The Camino™ has been promoting and operating Tours of the Camino de Santiago since 2006. We became a world leader Tour Operator for the Camino as we have sent thousands of pilgrims along the Way. Our customers are Tourigrinos, touring with a full package: booked accommodation, dinners, airport transfers and luggage transfers. This is a growing number, mostly coming from far away countries.

 

The bulk of pilgrims going on the Camino do not use a tour operator like ourselves and organise their trip their own way, not planning ahead their stays, stopping where they find availability, eating where they want to stop, etc. Therefore, there is a great opportunity to provide accurate, live and interactive information to these people during their trip. We have created a Camino Professional Network, and we would like you to be an active part of it.

Nearly 200,000 pilgrims have been recorded at the pilgrim office in 2012 and an estimated 1,000,000 visitors on the various routes have taken part in the Camino de Santiago. Listing in mobile app Being listed means that people using the app can find you on the map. With 4000 active users at all time

Ability to call/directions from app. This will enable users of the app to contact you before they arrive to the town. They will be able to book a room or a table. It will also allow the use of navigation on the device to bring the app user from where they are to your property

4 Picture on app This will help people see your property before they come and will make your property stand out in the crowed

Sticker You will receive a membership sticker to display in your property to let passer-by know of it.

Preferred listing with recommended stamp We will endorse our most valuable clients and will drive more consumers to them with that. Following our Camino1 charter of good practice will be mandatory.

Unique recommended contact per sub-category within 10km This will guaranty that as a privileged member, you maximise your audience by being the only advertiser within 10km. For bars and restaurants, a maximum of 5 sponsors will be allowed in towns of 50,000 inhabitants or more.

Notification/promotional message when users of the app pass by your location The best way to attract customers is to tell them where you are. Because users do not always look at their device, we will send them a sound/message notification when they are 1km from your property. This will give them 15 minutes to think about you. On top of that, We will be able to give a special promotional message (Free coffee or buy 1 drink, get the second one free with any sandwich ….)

Advert on flyer We have designed a small leaflet that we print 80,000 copies and distribute regularly to points of coming of pilgrims. This little leaflet is a great tool while walking and will be used several times a day to check distances. Having your property advertised here would make you stand out to pilgrims who are not using smart phones.

Sticker Once you are an active member of Camino1 association, you will receive a sticker to indicate pilgrims and show them you agree with our charter of quality.
